OOH! something UNintellectual and (i would wanna say UNprofessional.. but considering they were just a bunch of students which are nothing but professional WANNABES!! ok fine.. i'll just use the word for their sake) UNprofessional happened in my anthropology class...

Dear readers...
Let me ask u...
1. When someone's presenting... n u get to ask questions... do u ask to gain more knowledge or just to put the presenter on the spot??

2. Before asking, will you confirm and REconfirm that your question really relates to the TOPIC?

3. If 1 wishes to voice his/her opinion, shouldn't he/she wait till the presenter's DONE presenting?

4. Should't you speak up only when u MAKE SENSE?

So yea.. this was what happened...
We were supposed to present on our opinion towards an article about Malaysia being a 'boleh-land'. And me.. sounding like a duck (hey! i'm not feelin well k! :P) we sent Yue lo... But guessed what?? she was just stating the points that we discussed.. and when she came to the point that B.M isnt widely used by Malaysians and our reason? Cuz B.M wont bring us far...
Think about it...
1. Will u still use B.M in college or Uni if u don't have Malay friends?
2. Will u still use B.M in U.K, U.S or somewhere closer to home- Singapore?
3. Look at Siti Nurhaliza (no offense to her fans.. i like her songs too! :D) and Kelly Clarkson... who sold more albums? Who's more recognised? Both can sing... but it's the LANGUAGE they sing in!
4. Out of the BILLIONS of ppl we have on planet Earth... how many people actually UNDERSTAND B.M? (i doubt ALL Malaysians know the language)

... Enough points stated to back up our point... which (just in case you still havent notice) is "B.M wont bring us far"

So yea... suddenly some joker stood up and started bombarding Yue with questions!! 1 asked her... "So are u trying to say u arent proud of ur National Language?" Which Yue clearly replied "NO, that wasnt wat i meant" But somehow... more and more ppl started joining in the SENSE-less bombarding! Asking her if she calls herself a Malaysian and all... *shakes head*

Me... being a team mate.. (a voiceless one... or got voice but not as sweet.. *lalala* :P) was trying my best to find some points to counter 'attack' but my brains... aihz... quite the slow...

Oh well.. this whole story is actually POINTLESS cuz it never should have happened... at the end of the day... half the class still didnt get the idea that B.M wont get us far... were they defending from a patriotic point of view or just to put Yue down... 'wo bu chi dao'

Oh ya! of course i managed to stand up and defend our point... despite my manly voice...

How did it end? honestly.. i cant remember.. cuz i felt so sick and tired after talking to them... u know.. arguing over NOTHING... aihz... i guess it ended when some girl stood up and said some SUPER out of the topic stuff...

anyways... i might not be fluent with my B.M and hence not use it unless my life depends on it... watcha gonna do? Shoot me?
