You guys/gals have read bout my popo... now let me tell u bout another elderly woman in my life... my ah ma! (grandmother in hokkien)

She's forever smiling... despite the disagreements shared by her children, the smile on her face never fades. A woman of faith, a prayer warrior. She's got very POWdERFUL eye sight- 84 already but still dont wear specs!! keng le?? Her hands are super soft! Softer than mine!! :( hehehe! And guess wat! i inherited her long toes!! :S 1 day i must snap a pic of our feet :D

I've always wanted to b closer to her... but... it's like we have this wall between us... dont get me wrong, she VERY approachable. (i'm blessed with 2 very understanding old women as my grandmas) But it's just different lo... from wat i have with my popo...

However, sometimes... my heart aches for her... well... she's old... 85 d, considered old lo! :D but she seldoms see all her grandchildren and great grandchildren! Why?? family issues.. all revolving around UNFORGIVENESS!! aihz.. GROWN UPS!!

We feel rejected sometimes or maybe MOST of the time wen ppl dont acknowledge our presence rite?? What about elderly people?? When they reach out to hug their grandchildren, the kid turns around and runs to mummy!! How ouch-ing is that??

So pls! to the younger generation.. aka OUR generation.. pls la.. next time wen u have kids.. make it an effort to build the relationship between ur child n ur parents/ in-laws. I've been VERY blessed to know and to have my grandparents with me as i grew up. AND I MISS THEM!!

He's Finally Learnt to LOVE

This morning i woke up with a dizzy spell... (have been having it for the past few days... but minor ones only la..) i was so afraid to get out of bed.. had a bad experience few months back... so i prayed! i told God.. NOT NOW!! cant afford to feel dizzy.. got lots to do n lots are happening!! CHRISTMAS!! COLLEGE RETREAT!! i'm soO excited!!

Thank God He answers prayers!! I'm ok now! but must jaga me self... cuz i dont wanna lie in bed n miss all the FUN! it's supplementary food time.. *boohoo*... :(

anyways... i got up.. watched tv.. no more cartoon cuz it was 12.30! la la la :P so i decided to watch BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!! my lovely fren Sab borrowed me her vcd (miss u gal!).. i have the video tape version.. ancient of days i tell u! :D

As i watched... memories of me being a kid.. n my cartoons senses awaken!! I felt so LOVES!! :D

Why must disney do CGI?? aiyo... cant they stick to animated drawings.. wateva u call it.. :P
Now.. it's like the richness in Disney movies are SUCKED out! :(

This is a fruit juice that is found ONLY in ipoh ( i think :P) it's called "sa lei" in cantonese. Direct translation for bananas.... *cough* enoch *cough* :P it's SAND PEAR! :P

MORE FOOD!! (it is Ipoh afterall...) This was lunch. But i didnt eat. (DONT scold) i had breakfast at 9... which was 1 bowl of CURRY LAKSA!! then this lunch thingy was at 12!!! so how to eat le?? :P

Then it was the jouney back to CIVILIZATION!!! muahahaha! :P

For the Love of FOOD!!

it's one more day til my finals.. and wat have i been doing?? PIGGING!! *blushes*
on sat morning.. i woke up wondering why on earth did i agree to go to Ipoh when my finals will be on the coming TUESDAY!!!
(i was zombie-fied cuz i slept for 2 hours the nite before!! y??? cuz cell was to haps that my mind couldnt rest! p/s Jo: mext time dont play such exciting games ya... me heart cant take such excitement!! *blushes*)
Back to Sat morning... had to leave home at 8am!! *sobb sobb*

But the reason for me trip was answered when it was DINNER TIME!! See.. i went there to celebrate my mom's sister's mother-in-law's birthday... (so wu liao rite?? but i was INVITED k! :P)

The highlight of the nite was the GRILLED LAMB!! *slurps* It was GOOOOD!! y no pics?? cuz my Dory-ness lo.. i forgot to buy batts when i had the opportunity.. n my aunt wont take me to the shop cuz she was in a hurry :( anyways... i was a happy baby after the meal.

Then on Sun morning... oh wait! i had to sleep with my mom through out the nite on a SINGLE BED!! fuiyo!! sleeping was never that hard!! n they woke me up at 9!! and again... i was ZOMBIE-FIED!!! aihz...

Supposed to go for Dim Sum.. BUT!! my dad wanted to eat those fried stuffs... so...

It was a food marathon cuz in the morning we went to Puchong for DIM SUM. I suggested Cheras... but everybody was lazy la.. n Puchong nearer. Sadly... no pics for that cuz my SMART bro left the cam in his bag which he left in the car... -.- aihz... like i always say... MEN! :P

Then went to visit me aunt in the Palace, Mines and not that we are jakuns.. but then see.. my popo aint that young anymore.. so must seize every opportunity to take pics with her rite???

Sarah was a cheerleader on the teamand had everything she ever wanted.Until one day... her life crashed.
Mom: Wake up honey. Michael'sdownstairs waiting for you.
Sarah: Oh my gosh. I woke up too late!I still need a shower and everything!
Right when she said that Michaelwalked into her room smiling from earto ear.
Michael: No baby. You're beautifuljust like that- now come on, I'mstarving.
Sarah: Okay.Sarah got out of bed, put on someclothes, took his hand, and walked outthe door to his car and got in.
Sarah: Where are we going? Rememberthat I have to be home by 1. I havecheerleading practice and you havefootball.
Michael: I know..
Then Sarah noticed that Michael wasreally pale-looking.
Sarah: Michael are you feeling okay?You look like you're sick..
Michael: Yeah; it's just my allergies.
Sarah: Are you sure? Did you go to thedoctor yet?
Michael: Yeah.. I went yesterday. Theyjust said to take some allergy pillsand that I'll be okay.
Sarah turned to look away from Michael.She knew there was something wrong.She has allergies and she doesn't looklike that.Then he reached out and held her hand.
Sarah: Michael your hands are so cold.I dont think you're okay tell me what's really wrong.. do we need to go back to the house?
Michael: I promise you baby;everything is okay.. they told me to go back tomorrow but I'm not going because there's nothing wrong with me.
Sarah: Michael you need to go! If they told you to then there is something wrong!
Michael let go of her hand and turnedback to the road and didn't talk toher the rest of the way.Sarah just looked at him.They finally pullled up to the resturaunt and ate breakfast.
Michael: Did you bring your cheerleading stuff or do we have to go back to your house to get it?Sarah: I have it.. do you really think you should go to football practice like that?
Michael: Yes Sarah. I'm fine.
Sarah: If you say so..
Michael: Sarah, baby, would I lie toyou?
Sarah: No...

They got back in the car and went to the field. They got out and started practice. Sarah was practicing a new cheer, but then out of no where she heard a boy yell,"HE'S NOT MOVING SOMEONE CALL 911!HELP COACH!"Right when she heard that she turned around and saw Michael on the ground just laying there, not moving.She ran to him but her dad pushed her back.

Dad: No honey. You shouldn't be right here. Sarah started to cry.
Sarah: Daddy. What happened? Is he okay?
Dad: Honey. Please just go back with your coach.

Sarah walked back and sat on the bench with her head in her hands while anambulance came and took him away. She got in the car with her dad and they went to the hospital.When they got there his mom was already there and talking to the doctor. They walked over and listened...

Doctor: You may want to sit down forthis.
Michaels Mom: Is he okay?
Doctor: Ma'am.. your son has lukiemia.We can put him on treatments, but hemight not make it because the cancer has already spread too much.

Sarah was shocked and began to cry on here dads shoulder.
Michaels Mom:Treatments?
Doctor: Well the treatments wouldcause hair loss... but it will help slow the cancer down.
Michaels Mom: But he's certain to die?
Doctor: Yes.. but we have had this surgery to clear out the clogs.. but it's possible that he will not make it.
Michaels Mom: I will have to talk tohim about this. Can we see him now?
Doctor: Yes. One at a time though.

Michaels mom looked over at Sarah and hugged her tight she knew that Sarah loved him with all her heart.

Michaels Mom: You go first sweetheart.
Sarah: Are you sure?
Michael's Mom: Yes honey.

Sarah walked slowly to his room andturned the knob.She just stood there, looking at himlying there weak.He was so pale and he had tubessurrounding him.It was painful for her to look at him.Michael looked at her and weaklysmiled at her.She went over and kneeled down besidehim.

Michael: Did they already tell you?
Sarah: Yes...
Michael: I'm sorry Sarah. I didn'twant you to find out like this.
Sarah: It's okay; I understand Michael.
Michael: Baby I love you so much.

Michael reached up and slowly ran hisfingers through her hair.

Sarah: I love you too Michael. With all my heart.. and I will be here for you 'till the end.
Michael: Im going to be okay Sarah.

The nurse walked in with Michaels mom.

Nurse: Its her turn now.

Michael looked at Sarah.

Michael: Bye baby.

Sarah kneeled down and softly kissedhis cold lips.Months went by and Michael lost hishair, but they were still deeply inlove and Sarah was by him everyday.Michael was getting worse to where he couldn't even play football, and the championship game was coming up. Michael was sitting on Sarah's porchwith her and her dad.

Michael: Coach.. I wanna play tomorrow.
Dad: Michael I know you do.. but Ican't let you do that.. you'll get hurt.
Michael: No, coach. Please. This might be the last time on the field for me. I want to be able to play one moretime.

Dad looked at Michael and then at Sarah. Sarah nodded her head.

Dad: You're a strong boy, Michael, and very brave. I think we can do this.

Michael: Thank you so much coach.

Sarahs dad nodded his head.

Dad: So what are you two doing tonight?

Michael: I wanna show Sarah something if that's okay.

Dad: Of course; you two be careful.

Michael took Sarah's hand and lead her to his car. It was completely dark outside when they pulled up to the football field.

Sarah: What are we doing here?

Michael: Follow me.Michael grabbed a blanket and laid itdown onto the field.They both laid there looking at the stars.

Sarah: This is so beautiful.
Michael: I do this often. I wanted to show you the place I love.
Sarah: Do you remember the flowers you gave me on our very first date?
Michael: Sure I do; I gave youlillies; your favorite.
Sarah: Yeah... I'll never forget thatday.Michael: I want you to always remember something Sarah.
Sarah: What is it?
Michael: I will always be with you..and I will always love you.. you're my one and only..
Sarah started tearing.
Sarah: I love you so much, Michael.
Michael: And I also want you to be happy.. I want you to marry someone,have kids, make a family, just live ahappy life for me.
Sarah: No. I will never marry anyone..im marrying you Michael
Michael: Just don't forget what I told you.Michael leaned in and kissed her. She pushed him off and jumped up
Sarah: You still think you can catch me?
Michael: Oh yeah. I'm stronger than I look.

Michael stood up and chaised her around the football field until he finally caught her. He laid on top of her and put her hands behind her back and held her there so she couldn't move.Then it started to rain and they were getting soaked but they didn't care.Michael looked deep into her eyes.
Michael: Who's the weak one now huh?
Sarah: Me (she giggled)
Michael: Remember what you told methat night when we were at dinner?
Sarah: No.. what?
Michael: You have always wanted to kiss in the rain with the one you love.
Sarah: Yeah?
Michael: Well your wish is my comand.
Michael leaned down and kissed her deeply.
He pulled away.
Michael: You're so beautiful.
Sarah: You're such a good kisser. (shelaughed.. so did he)
Michael: I better get you home.They got into the car and went home.

It was hard for them to sleep that night but they did.It was finally the big day and theywere all at the football field.Michael had on all his football gear,and Sarah was ready to cheer him on.The game began.The crowd was going wild for Michael while Sarah was cheering her heart out for him.The score was 36 to 36.All they had to do was make one morepoint and they would win.Michael had the ball and ran with allhe had to the touch down line and threw the ball down.He had made a touch down!Everyone was cheering.They had won the game!But for Michael.. he may have lost his life.He fell to the ground trying to catch his breath.Sarah ran to him and kneeled down over him.He looked up at her gasping for breath.Everyone was heading to field.Her dad stood infront of them.

Dad: Back away.. give them a moment please.. that's my daughter's love.
Michael gently raised his hand andwhiped her tears away.
Sarah: Don't die Michael.. I needyou.. I love you..
Michael: I told you this was my dream to win the championship.. to be in the big game.. to die on this feild.. I made history.
Sarah leaned down and kissed him,knowing this was the last she wouldever kiss him, the last time she would ever talk to him.She had so much to say but had no time to say it.

Michael's hand dropped and he let go.He died that night on the footballfeild.Sarah cried for 2 months straight.Sarah was lying on her bed when herdad walked in.
Dad: Honey, it's been 2 months. Please get up. He would want you to have fun and be happy.
Sarah: I know..
Dad: Guess what.
Sarah: What?
Dad: They are building a new stadium.Isn't that great honey? Come on, I want you to come with me before they tear the old one down.Sarah got up and went with her dad to the field.They climbed to the top of thebleachers and looked down.
Sarah: It's like it was justyesterday. He was out there throwing the football, making that touch down.Her dad wrapped his arms around her and she began to cry.
Dad: I know baby., I know.
Then Sarah noticed something on the feild.
Sarah: Whats that daddy? Look. (Sarahpointed to the field)
Dad: Look like some flowers areblooming.
Sarah: Oh my gosh, daddy! Stop them!Don't let them tear this down! Please!Michael planted me something.
Her dad ran down there and stopped them.Weeks later the flowers had bloomed.Her and her dad went to look at them.They were lillies that left a message saying, "I Love You".

thru out these few weeks i have learnt something new. (about me of course) i've learnt that no matter how serious a situation maybe... i'll end up laughing or doing something silly. :D

i didnt notice it til yue told me that somehow i'll end up saying something funny. hehehe...
i never liked serious situations. Especially when it feels fake. u know.. when every1 tries to fake being professional??? it's like.. halo! we're only 18 la! why must be so strict on urself? if u flop... just smile n say sorry la. how hard is that rite??

and then... i also learnt something new today... some weird ppl like to frown alot! imagine urself giving a speech or doin ur presentation... then u see this person frowning n folding his/her arms.. how polite is that?? n wen u smile to lighten things up... they just stare back and frown! oh well! i think there are 2 possibilities why these weird ppl act in such a way. 1... they are having a bad day... 2... they are too shallow to understand wat the speaker is speaking. i prefer the latter explanation... MUAHAHAHAHA! *the evil queen prevails!* :P

today.. i mean tonite.. after cell.. karen was so generous to treat us MAMAK!! yippee! (long time no go d..) So.. we went into elizabeth's car... and..

*picture this* 4 gals in 1 car.. 1 (me) sees a cockroach!!! (small 1 tho) starts screaming. 2nd gal (amanda) sees cockroach too!! screams along. two gals in front (emily and liz) joins the screaming frenzy even WITHOUT seeing the roach!! all 4 doors flung open as 4 gorgeous gals stepped out of the car gracefully *oops* got carried away.. wakakaka! but the four doors flung open la.. and we jumped out like... hmm... like any girl would after seeing a cockroach la :P

then came 2 of our heroes! the FOOs! hehehe.. Basil and Leeza!! according to leez, basil's afraid of roaches too! but somehow... he gathered his guts to check the car for us. HOWEVER... the cockroach was too fast for him. He couldnt catch it -.- oh well... at least he tried... unlike our hero wannabe! DANIEL! he walked towards our car when he saw us crowding outside the car.

Daniel: Why? what's wrong?
Amanda: Got cockroach in our car!!
Daniel: (turns around and walks back to nick's car)

Thank goodness for camera phones cuz they have flashlights. So i turned mine on thru out our journey to the mamak shop. No sign of the roach. *phew*

At the mamak shop... hmm.. that's an entire different story by itself! :P

On our way home.. we gave the roach a name.. IT! hehehe... but there was still no sign of IT tho.. :( liz should keep IT as her pet! muahahahaha! *not funny* cuz i hate roaches! EEW!! :D

But i thank my friends for being here for me. Namely my Queen Ms Sabrina Ch'ng! hehehe! thanks girl for "sayang-ing" me. :D It sucks that the 3 of us arent in a same group. But then again.. obstacles will come in our way but we'll cheer each other on ya! *hugs*

my popo came to visit me!! yipee! she's been ere since end of Sept. wat took me so long to blog bout her?? no time le... :P

this is how it all began...
My popo was sitting on the stairs... applying some medicine on her leg.. u noe la.. old ppl... always ere pain there pain... So there she was sitting... and ere i came... i wanted to go upstairs to the loo la.. kekeke. So wanting to be quick, i forgot to avoid her knee! hence, my knee knocked hers!! aihz.. even i felt the pain.. wat more my popo... the GUILT!!

i went to my grandma's (dad's side) house for dinner cuz my popo wanted to visit my grandma la... Once we reached home... aihz... i went down the car... n as usual.. close the car door lo.. BUT!! i didnt know my popo's fingers were there... so... need i say more?? *it's too painful for me to continue* btw... my popo's left middle finger turned PURPLE!! INSTANTLY!! so can u imagine now??? :S

so.. there u have it.. my popo's goin back on the 23rd of Oct... pls pray along that i dont hurt her anymore... :S my poor popo! *drops head in shame*

Tazmanian Devil Phone! Adorable Taz moves wildly, growls and speaks when the phone rings, he cradles the handset in his mouth, demo button, redial, switchable ringer, tone/pulse option, volume control. The telephone base looks like it's "cracked" open by Taz where he's standing.

Interesting eh?? for a cartoon fan like me... kekeke I WANT!!! but i'd prefer a mickey mouse 1.. *hint* :P

Is Bigger Really Better?

Guess what??? My friends and i... and our pet (wahahahaha!) WALKED all the way from SEGi to MYDIN!!! It was crazy business k... cuz the distance was LONG!!! But me, the tau foo fa... made it alive!! (p/s allie: Tau Foo Fas ROCK!!) We had KFC 4 lunch *smiles brightly* Took some pics too! (check out Yue's blog for the pics k!)

Then we went to do what we went there to do... (is my grammar correct?? :P) We checked out the cheap ties Joel suggested.

As we were leaving, Yue took a pic of MALAYSIA'S BIGGEST TROLLEY. Why is it the biggest- something all the time?? Why cant it be the smallest?? The challenges faced to make something big are the materials, a place to construct it and money. BUT!!! If someone were to try makin MALAYSIA'S SMALLEST TROLLEY... now that will draw more attention dont u think so?? I dont know bout u guys... but i'll definitly take a closer look at it and wonder how was it made... the technology, the patience!! and of course the money also la... need i say more??
